The owners are a married couple. The master is a major construction company agent and his wife is a magazine editor. We accompanied from the plot search and eventually encountered a slight void. The project initiated with a precept of a high efficiency residence using heat insulated concretes.

Securing maximum building area in a narrow and long townscape and providing housetop, RC 3 stories high and penthouse were adopted.

Arranging a large opening on the street side facade, simple modern styled PACHIRA poses overt to the townscape while the couple can relax with their hobbies of reading and listening to music.

PACHIRA is creative arraigning minimum storage space with movable Tanami floors (Japanese straw floor) and a mural storage to embrace their books and CDs. Such minimal modal residence realized all the better for a compact lifestyle.
